Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using the TuneCraft application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Service Description

TuneCraft is a guitar tuner application that uses your device's microphone to detect note frequencies and help you tune your instrument. The App works entirely offline on your device.

2. Age Requirement

The App is suitable for users of all ages. If you are under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction), you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

3. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Chanel Services grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal device for non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play Store through which you obtained the App.

4. In-App Purchases

The App may offer additional features through in-app purchases. These are one-time purchases only (no subscriptions). All transactions are processed by Apple or Google and are subject to their respective terms and refund policies.

  • Purchases are linked to your Apple ID or Google account.
  • Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google, not to Chanel Services.
  • No recurring subscriptions are offered through the App.
  • Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency by the platform.

5. Advertising

The free version of the App displays advertising through Google AdMob. These ads may appear as:

  • Interstitials: shown at app launch.
  • Banners: shown on certain screens (settings, metronome).
  • Rewarded videos: voluntarily watched by the user to temporarily unlock a premium feature (limited duration, maximum 5 per session).

Purchasing the Plus or Pro plan permanently removes all advertising. For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), an advertising consent form is displayed in compliance with the GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Intellectual Property

The App and all its content — including but not limited to source code, design, graphics, icons, logos, and sounds — are the exclusive property of Chanel Services and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or derive the source code of the App.
  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the App or any part of it.
  • Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Chanel Services does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

Tuning accuracy depends on factors beyond our control, including your device's microphone quality, ambient noise, and environmental conditions. The App is intended as an aid and should not be relied upon as the sole tuning reference for professional performances.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chanel Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the App.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete it from your device. Sections regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law shall survive termination.

11. Third-Party Beneficiaries

You acknowledge and agree that Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms when the App is obtained through the Apple App Store. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple shall have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

Similarly, Google LLC and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms when the App is obtained through Google Play Store.

12. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the competent courts of Vienne (Isère), France.
