Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Chanel Services ("we", "our", "us") handles information in connection with the TuneCraft mobile application ("the App"). This policy applies to all users regardless of location.

1. Data Collection

TuneCraft's core features (tuning, metronome, ear training) operate entirely on your device. Chanel Services does not directly collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

  • No personal information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifiers.
  • No location data: The App does not access your location.
  • No user accounts: No sign-up or login is required.

However, the free version of the App displays advertising via Google AdMob. This third-party service may collect certain technical data (see section 3 below). Users who have purchased the Plus or Pro plan see no ads and are not subject to any data collection by advertising networks.

2. Permissions

The App requires the following device permission:

  • Microphone: The App accesses your device's microphone solely to detect guitar note frequencies. Audio is processed in real-time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server or third party. The microphone is only active while you are using the tuner function.

No other device permissions (camera, contacts, storage, location, etc.) are requested or required.

3. Third-Party Services and SDKs

TuneCraft integrates the following third-party services:

Google AdMob (Advertising)

The free version of the App displays ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). This service may collect technical data such as:

  • Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
  • IP address (for approximate location and ad serving)
  • Technical device information (model, OS version)
  • Ad interaction data

GDPR consent: For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), a consent form (UMP — User Messaging Platform) is displayed at first launch, in compliance with IAB's Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF v2). You may decline consent; non-personalized ads will then be shown.

Removing ads: By purchasing the Plus or Pro plan, all ads are permanently removed and no data is collected by advertising networks.

Distribution Platforms

These platforms may collect their own data (e.g., crash reports, download statistics) according to their respective privacy policies. We do not control or have access to this data.

No Other Services

Apart from Google AdMob (free version only) and distribution platforms, TuneCraft does not integrate any other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, tracking networks, or external services.

4. In-App Purchases

TuneCraft may offer in-app purchases through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing data.

5. Data Retention

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no data to retain or delete. All app preferences (if any) are stored locally on your device and can be removed by uninstalling the App.

6. Children's Privacy

TuneCraft does not collect any data from any user, including children under the age of 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App complies with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provisions regarding minors.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & International)

Since TuneCraft does not collect or process any personal data, there is no data subject to access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction requests. However, as a company based in the European Union (France), we are committed to full compliance with the GDPR.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), California (CCPA), or any other jurisdiction granting privacy rights, please note that:

  • No personal data is collected, shared, or sold.
  • No data profiling or automated decision-making occurs.
  • You may contact us at any time with questions regarding your privacy.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
